Herb’s Blog, Herbdate 22929 – 1006
Here’s the haps:
Since I am back to blogging daily, at least for the time being, and have a regular posting schedule I want to go back to trying to do one of these posts a week. I have done around twenty-ish awards so far. A list can be found under my Award Winning Wednesday category if you’re interested. Since I’m the guy who made up this award based on my personal tastes, I get to make the rules. Generally speaking, I promote blogs I read myself regularly and have done so for a while and I especially appreciate and try to promote G-rated material for the most part, although I know there are occasionally PG or even PG-13. and since a large majority of my readers are exceptionally intelligent I try to share top-notch blogs that you don’t have to be afraid to open up.
The blog I am awarding today is really a safe and fun blog and I have neglected my duties as presenter of this award by not awarding this one already. Honestly, I think many of my readers are already longtime fans of the Bluebird of Bitterness blog but in case you are unfamiliar with it, I present it for your pleasure. It is primarily a humor blog but with features such as Wednesday Weirdness and Friday Happy Dance along with occasional homages to classical composers and appropriate Sunday Musical Offerings, it is more than just humor as if humor wasn’t enough. She has also showcased vintage ads that would never be seen today, along with other occasional strolls down memory lane. Even the sidebar, which includes pictures of her various relatives, is clever.
As you may or may not be aware, my award is a true award, not an electronic chain letter and it does not require any backlinks or answering a bunch of questions, or finding a bunch of other bloggers to tag. She can put it in a post or place it on her blog, link to me if she wants, or do nothing whatsoever with it, but I am offering the “Herb likes this blog and would like to have coffee with this blogger sometime,” award to the humorous and interesting BOB at Bluebird Of Bitterness Blog.
