Phew! Made It! And Are My Grandchildren Aliens Now‽

Here’s the haps:

You love ’em but, oh boy! Well, this particular episode in the adventure of life comes to a close. I am a little concerned about the two older grandchildren, now, though. On their way back my daughter wanted to go see Roswell, NM where it is purported by some that an alien spacecraft crashed in the late nineteen-fifties. It is said that the government took the alien craft and bodies of aliens and have them hidden in a secret military base called Area 51. Other people say that it’s been proven over and over again that the only thing that crashed there was a new type of weather balloon. But who’s to say that they are just government shills? I mean, this picture of them calmly sitting in front of an alien spaceship was posted in the tribal text:

Well, the toddler has gone to Pueblo now and this is how I felt:

  1. Toddlers are jet propelled, but then you have them turning into aliens themselves sometime around 11-12 years old.

  2. The Roswell crash happened in 1947, and the army actually issued a press release stating that they had recovered a flying saucer, only to later retract it, and exhibit pieces of a weather balloon to the public in an explanation of what had actually happened. Many of the individuals involved in exhibiting the weather balloon debris would later come forward, claiming that they had been involved in a cover-up operation. What’s more, musician and songwriter Henry John Deutschendorf Jr, better known as John Denver, was born in Roswell shortly before the incident occurred. Coincidence?

  3. “an alien spacecraft crashed in the late nineteen-fifties”. Really? That sounds so interesting. Or is it just a science fiction book? Will wait to see the picture of the site that you are going to post. LOL.

    • Sorry, it was 1947 according to Dumbest Blogger’s (who is anything but) comment. search 1947 Roswell, NM or “The Roswell Incident.” At first the government said they had captured a flying saucer then later recanted and said it was a weather balloon all along. A lot of people, my daughter and her children included, have a lot of fun talking about it. https://roswell-nm.gov/692/UFO-Story

  4. You love them. You will miss them. But I also know you will enjoy the break… We have one and she is like a hurricane during her visit at four years old.

  5. A huge saving grace for me this year has been working my super part-time job! My toddler is in day care for three hours and I LOVE IT. 😀 Catch up on some sitting!
