Award Winning Wednesday – Colin McQueen at Getting On

Herb September 30, 2020

Herb’s Blog, Herbdate 22151 – 723:

The other night Colin McQueen of the blog Getting On paid me a very high compliment indeed, when he said, “…Loved the poem. If I spoke with an American accent, I would hear myself talking.” Well, I took it as a compliment, anyway. He is quickly turning out to be my long-lost brother from another mother. It’s funny how we can have similar experiences and thoughts but live four or five thousand miles away from each other. I think a lot of Americans probably think they can do an English accent when it really sounds dumb but I think may of us hams would try it.

His posts are unique and witty, even when they’re serious. He also writes interesting stories. He is a regular guy(That’s a compliment over here.). As you know, my award does not require any back-links or answering a bunch of questions or finding a bunch of other bloggers to tag. He can put it in a post or place it on his blog, link to me if he wants, or do nothing whatsoever with it. but I am offering, from Herb’s Blog, the “Herb likes this blog and would like to have coffee with this blogger sometime,” award to the interesting, intelligent, often humorous, sometimes whimsical Colin McQueen of the blog Getting On.

  1. Wow! Thank you Herb. I am really honoured by this – truly. One day we will get that coffee. Can’t believe you called me intelligent… 😉
