No More Excuses

Well, I had to spring for a new DC — AC power inverter for the laptop, which means, of course, that I have more time now to write and so no more excuses, which hopefully means I will be back to doing more updates.

As of this writing, 3/27/06, 9:21 A.M., there is no new grandbaby yet. It looks like he is going to stay put until the last possible moment. Lizzy is at or near 39 weeks right now. I am excited. It will be interesting to see how he acts. Savannah, our little 1 lb 12 oz miracle baby, is still so cute as can be and when you watch her and talk to her and play with her you could never tell she was a preemie or that there was ever any worry about her. We thank the Almighty God, Creator of the universe and all life, every time we see her.

I’m thinking about starting a website in addition to this blog, but I don’t know. The last one I had made and put up on a free server became so riddled with pop-ups and banners that you could almost not tell what was mine. I had place a note that said something to the effect that the above ad was not mine and didn’t mean I endorsed it or didn’t endorse it, but it paid for the space. After a while it got to be where I couldn’t even say where what ads were.

I might have found a space, though; I will let everyone know when I do. I don’t plan to leave Blogdrive anytime soon, however, since I am just now starting to get a few more readers. People know where I’m at now. Besides, I have the paid service with theunlimited photo galleries here, which is a nice feature for $5.00 a month. There are other perks, too, like no banner ads. One thing about these guys is that they always seem to be trying to improve things.

I am adding new links to the blogroll as time permits. I read so many blogs in the morning that, along with doing e-mail, I don’t have time to write in my own blog. I try to comment once in a while, but sometimes I don’t even have time for that, which is why getting the power into the car was so important.

Well, I guess that is it for now. I am still holding a vigil for the missing Daveman, but have tried every method I know to find out about him to no avail. I guess he’ll show up whenever he gets here. This reminds me. Pen had mentioned on the tagboard an idea for starting a prayer blog. This could be a good idea, but I am not sure how it would work. If you have any good ideas about it, go to her blog and click on the “contact me” button.

Okay, I don’t want to spoil you all with too much of a good thing the first day back, so keep your nose between the ditches and the smokies out of yer britches, we’ll catch you on the flip-flop, you’ve got the one, the only, the Help-ful Hurricane, (Yes, that was my real CB handle) KBJA6976, Signin’ off, goin’ 10-7, buh-bye!

Er, remember, the good book says, “Never break on channel 9 unless it’s a real emergency.”
