Something Nice On The ‘Net Saturday

Herb’s Blog, Herbdate 23051 – 1083

Here’s the haps:

I think this little girl is probably a bit overwhelmed by the camera and everything. She’s an eight-year-old Second Grader who competes in the rodeo and she donated half of her earnings to a Breast Cancer charity.

I really like how the East Idaho News does their Feel Good Friday segments. It’s not overdone or overly dramatic but is, in my opinion, an appropriate amount of recognition. It is really nice that they recognize people in their community who have done something good.

  1. I am just very pleased to discover that there are still some communities out there where some people do some good for others. But I also believe that any donations to so-called “Cancer Research” are wasted money because I am a curmudgeon who believes there will never be a cancer cure until cancer stops being a Trillion-dollar-a-year profit generating machine. I applaud the little girl’s kind, caring and compassionate heart. She deserves the recognition. Thank you for sharing.

  2. It occurs to me that you could send Skittles and M&Ms and gift cards for a steak dinner to all of us, then you could be the subject of your own feel-good post! I promise in advance to “like” it and to make an affirming comment. 🙂

    • And you know, each and every one of my readers is so deserving of at least that and so much more that it pains me to say that, at this point in time, not having become fabulously, indepently wealthy from what I expected would be a lucrative blogging career, I simply cannot afford it. Yet. When I can I will certainly let everyone know.

  3. Oh, so cute and so heartwarming. And so sweet. When he says “skittles”, I think those little boys all want to come over, but they are probably told not to. Soooooo cute.
