I’m not sure If I used this one before or not. When you get to be my age you can always cop out with the excuse that I just didn’t remember. It’s getting late and I have work tomorrow, which has not been the norm, as I have only been getting one day a week. So I need to go to bed at something like a reasonable time. Besides, this is one of my faves.
IN FIFTY YEARS TIME
Herb and a couple of his buddies were talking about what they hoped their grandchildren would be saying about them fifty years from now.
“I would like my grandchildren to say, ‘He was successful in business,'” declared the first man.
“Fifty years from now,” said the second, “I want them to say, ‘He was a loyal family man.'”
Turning to Herb, they asked, “So, Herb, what do you want them to say about you in fifty years?”
“Me?” Said Herb, “I want them to say, ‘He certainly looks good for his age, doesn’t he?'”
