Guess Who’s Back? What? Who‽ Me! Di’ntcha Miss Me?

Herb’s Blog, Herbdate 23495 – 1211

Here’s the haps:

Hi all,

Mrs. herb and I went out of town for a few days to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary. I’m going to try to catch up on everybody’s blogs but I may miss a few of you, especially those of you who are so prolific it’s hard to keep up with you in the first place.

We spent some time in Durango, Colorado, a beautiful little mountain town. I’ll be posting more about it in a couple of days, after my wife talks to her in-person friends who otherwise would say, “Oh, I read about your trip on the blog…” Which kind of deflates the telling of it.

Welcome back! Glad you got a treat of Durango, a town we’ve visited three times now! Love it there. Looking forward to your stories.

Very cool. It was nice, for sure. I will look forward to your comments, as well.

Have Anniversary, youngsters! Did you write your wife a poem while you drank your morning java – you know, to espresso how much you love her!?

    1. Herbert Avatar

I had a hard time coffeeing one up for her.

It was great. Too short, of course.

Yep I missed you. The Palindrome Society considers the 44th Anniversary one of the big ones.

I have a lot of pals in the Palindrome Society.

Best Co. skiing I ever had was in Durango. Momo and I were in Colorado Springs last week enjoying the cool weather and grand kids. Went to Garden of The Gods and was deeply impressed with the job the city does with the park. Glad you are back in the saddle again.

Garden of the Gods is beautiful, for sure. We’ve never been skiers, though.

Pleased to see you back old friend. As usual our lives follow similar paths – we had our 44th wedding anniversary in May. Hope you had a great trip away.

Thank you amigo. It’s kind of strange and interesting how we have similar milestones.

You are a very kind man to consider your wife’s feelings like that. I’d be like “Honey, I’m blogging about it tomorrow, better call your friends RIGHT NOW” 😀

Hahahaha! There’s a reason I’m still alive after 44 years of marriage 😂🤣😂🤣😁

It’s awfully considerate of you to wait to post about the trip so as not to steal Mrs. Herb’s thunder. No wonder she’s stuck with you for 44 years. Congrats to you both!

      Thank you so much!

Happy [now belated] anniversary to you both! So sweet of you to allow your wife to tell the stories to her friends before you blog about it. Also nice that her friends read your blog! Double win! But the former is one of the many reasons you and your wife are still going strong, I’m sure.

The trip sounds fun. I look forward to reading more about it!

      Thank you so much.
