    • Off the top of my head, not remembering the numbers exactly, it’s like, if you wear a mask and have the virus, you are 75% less likely to spread the virus, especially if you use your elbow to cough or sneeze. If I am wearing a mask and you aren’t it is something like 35 – 45% likely to help prevent my getting the germ from you. So, if we are both wearing masks, and staying 6 feet away from each other, we are that much less likely to prevent the spread of the virus. Cold and flu virus numbers are astronomically way down in areas that are wearing masks and staying 6 feet apart. Besides all that, our governor has mandated the wearing of masks In public buildings like grocery stores, so I want to be a good citizen and not “stand up for my rights” when it’s for my good and safety not to. Also, our pastor has requested us to do it, and I try to do what my pastor asks.

        • One of my daughters had them, but I haven’t quoted them right, but the principle is there. As to your views on them, well, you have every right to be wrong.

                • Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:(1Pe 2:13-15)
Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,(Tit 3:1)
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:(Rom 13:1-3)

                  • Exactly “For there is no power but of God” God is the highest power and government doesn’t overrule Him. People should obey God over the goverment.

                    • Only if the government is telling them to do something that goes against His Word. “”Deny Jesus or wear a wax shirt and burn on a stake like a matchstick.” “Sorry Gov, can’t do that.” God didn’t tell you to go therefore into all the world and make people sick. part of the Gospel is the gift of healing people not making them sick.

                    • You’re being so blunt about it to where I can’t say anything back! That’s never happened before when talking about God vs. Government so I’m kinda speechless.
I’m afraid I’ll have to surrender.

                    • Give up and let Jesus take over.
Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.(1Pe 2:17)

                    • 😁Yeah, no kidding.
I was seriously just staring at the screen, blinked a few times, and said “ok! I have never heard it put that way.”
                      Makes sense, but powerful.

                    • I inadvertently hurt people’s feelings with my straightforwardness sometimes but there is no doubt what I think and sometimes when I have tried to be tactful and diplomatic it just doesn’t get the point across.

                    • Well, you got your point across this time for sure!!!!!
I had to “steal” what you said by copying/pasting it so I’ll never forget what exactly you said… if that’s alright with you.

                    • It’s absolutely fine. Most of it is what God said, anyway. The numbers I can’t speak for the veracity of but the principle is logical and sound.
