Drove-in 2

Honk If You Love Jesus – It’s not just a bumper sticker any more.

Well, this was the second week we have had a church service like this. Everyone stays in their cars and the cars are parked with a minimum of one space between each car. the lot looked like this.

There were a lot of cars but nobody got out.

Where it might appear that there are cars closer together there is actually a median in between them and again, we did not get out and mill around, shaking hands and hugging one another as we are normally wont to do. Not even with this car:

This is as close as we got.

There is my son, my daughter-in-law, my grandson and and granddaughter. The camera zoom on my phone is not very good at all and I am a worse photographer so I apologize for the grainy quality.

My grandson
My granddaughter. My son, Ben, from Brother’s Campfire, is in the driver’s seat and my daughter-in-law is in the front seat.

I wanted to run over and hug them all, but we are practicing social distancing. Our governor has asked us all to practice the six foot social distancing and to wear a face-mask whenever we leave our houses. They don’t need to be of medical quality but are just a help if everyone stays six feet away and coughs into their elbow instead of at you. The homemade masks won’t filter out all of the germs but can help mitigate their spread if all of the other guidelines are followed. We believe that as Christians it is our duty to obey the law and be responsible citizens. We don’t feel that this is an attack on the church or an attempt to shut us down and we are trying to do what we can to help out. Many of the ladies in our church are not only making the “civilian” ones but the more complex “medical” ones with the filters as well. They have sent hundreds to New York and to the nursing home in Texas where our Pastor’s mother-in-law is the administrator.

Pastor had the same pulpit but we were a little later and didn’t get a close-up view.

Well, I will leave you with this picture of me and the Mrs. and this thought, 9 out of 10 doctors agree that 1 out of 10 doctors is an idiot.
