In the Sunday Funnies in 1980 I saw a cartoon with a bunch of giant reptiles hiding behind some rocks, smoking cigarettes. The caption said, “The real reason dinosaurs went extinct.” Ever since I have been a fan of Gary Larson. He retired in 1995 but has announced, on the 40th anniversary of his cartoon, that he is going to start a website, https://www.thefarside.com/ which will go through some of his old stuff with an occasional new one thrown in the mix.
